North of England Transport Awards at the Midland Hotel

For the first time ever , Transport Times hosted their Transport awards evening outside of the London. The venue for this special event was at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, which for anyone who has visited this venue will know, it is truly spectacular. With over 400 guests attending from across the transport industry, this event was a milestone celebrating the best of transport services in the North of England.  This event was hosted by the entertaining BBC presenter Steph McGovern. CommsCare Annual Awards at Victoria Warehouse

Victoria Warehouse has been one of our favorite venues to shoot events in Manchester. Their incredible space and the transformation on each party is always remarkable. Last Saturday we were commissioned by CommsCare to photograph their annual awards party at this venue.  With a Gatsby themed dressed venue and props, everyone was having a great time and celebrated their successful year in business.

The construction giant firm, Laing O’Rourke held their annual management awards event at the impressive Chairman’s Club in Etihad Stadium, Manchester last week. This was an exclusive event celebrating the best of the management team at the firm in 2016. The venue was stunning, and it was a great pleasure to be asked to photograph this prestigious event.

Last Monday, we covered our biggest ever corporate event to date; this was a huge event to be a part of. The client was Boots and they hosted their annual Best of the Best awards at the Principle Hotel in Manchester, where we had the pleasure of taking photographs. It was a celebration night for the 450+ guests coming from all over the UK, with 5 awards being given out for the best of best stores across the UK. The music entertainment on the night was provided by Rule The World, Take That’s number one tribute band.

The Unlimited company, part of Simply Health group, provides a wide range of premium daily living aids and mobility products to support the everyday needs of the elderly and disabled. They launched a new store in Townsmoore Retail Park in Blackburn on Saturday. Their friendly team was on hand to give expert advice to the customers.

Lendlease is an international brand, which has offices in New York, London, Singapore and Sydney. They specialize in project management in construction and provide similar services in the construction industry.

They hosted a networking event on the 7th Floor Bar, in Media City in Manchester, which we were invited along to, to photograph. It was a successful event with a great turn out of professionals in the industry. Here is some of work that we shot for Lendlease:

Just a little over a week ago, we were invited by one of Manchester’s leading architect firms, Simpson Haugh, to photograph their team-building day.  This was event was a little different from the usual corporate events we have photographed in the past. But it was a pleasure to be a part of.

Employees from London and Manchester joined their bosses in Cloud23, Manchester’s favourite sky bar, for a fun filled day. The directors Ian Simpson and Rachel Haugh, began the day by welcoming their staff with an inspiring talk, which was followed by a tour of Ian’s penthouse on the top floor of Beetham Tower. The views from the penthouse of Manchester were spectacular and allowed for some stunning photographs. The staff were then divided into groups and joined a treasure hunt around Manchester.

This event was put together by Dyson to promote their impressive range of products available at Curry's PC World.  This was an intimate event with only a very select group of bloggers and their families being invited. Dyson engineers hosted interactive workshops, and science projects show casing the technology that goes into the research and development of their products.

Last week we covered the Neuroanaesthesia Society of Great Britain and Northern Ireland & Great Britain's 2015 conference on behalf of the NHS.  This was a two day event that was held at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester.  The event involved break-out sessions, live demos, high profile key speakers and more importantly, a few champagnes in the prestigious Cloud 23 on the first night!  Here's a small, but well-formed selection of images from the event.

We've done a number of corporate bits 'n bobs of late and here's just one of them.  This piece of work was for the high street retailer, H&M.  It was a recruitment event that was held out of hours in their flagship Manchester store.  They wanted a photographer to capture the fun and frolics that could be had if you become a H&M employee ... how much fun and frolics they'll be having at five to four on a Sunday, when they're dying from a hangover, just want to go home and a late shopper enters the store, remains to be seen.  Watch this space.  Anyway, here's a few from the event.

It's not just private parties, proms and black tie events we cover ... from time to time we also get asked to cover a variety of corporate events.  The latest one was the relaunch of the Dunelm Store in Blackpool following a multi million pound refit.

We were tasked with capturing both the layout of the store and the multitude of departments, but the company also wanted some natural shots to document a 'day in the life' of the store; customers, interaction etc.  We obviously also captured the official ribbon cutting ceremony and staff shots etc.  It was a real pleasure to cover this event for such a well known high street brand and the management team and every single staff member at the store was a pleasure to deal with.

This week we covered NCP's annual conference at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool.  The conference started at 8am and ran till 5pm - during this time we provided reportage coverage of the main room and break out groups.  Following a quick freshen up, the guests came back down, had their evening meals and then it was party time!
